This position is a key, highly technical resource in advancing the future of Eastern, its products, services and business processes by researching / experimenting with emerging technologies and building products and internal capabilities that drive long term customer value. 

This role is the top technical visionary at Eastern Labs and will be the vital engineering resource on Labs related or sponsored experiments. As a Labs Fellow, the incumbent will also be a mentor for the Eastern Software Engineering & Data Platform teams and will provide expert guidance to selected fintech and and partner innovators as well.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years hands-on experience in product development, research, or software engineering fields – at a senior level
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and building end-to-end technology, in either a corporate or start-up setting
  • Highly inclusive and collaborative approach to building products
  • Experience with structured research methodologies
  • PhD in computer science or equivalent experience in software architecture and engineering
