A Retail Sales and Service Coach is responsible for providing employee coaching and leadership development across the Retail Division.  Applicants to this position will have demonstrated a structured and process-driven approach to coaching the teams they have led.  

  • The individual must demonstrate the ability to clearly understand and execute on the Service Cycle established at Eastern Bank.  
  • Provides coaching to hiring managers on defining, identifying, and exploring the personal attributes and characteristics of what we might consider an ‘ideal’ candidate for Eastern’s Retail positions during the interview process.  
  • Works in collaboration with Corporate Training to integrate curricula and supporting materials for all subjects noted above, and keeps existing materials up to date.  
  • As it relates to subjects that cross-over into other business/support units, works jointly with partners from those areas to develop required curricula.  
  • Analyzes trends/themes from reports and evaluation results, stays abreast of industry information and presents suggested programming to Division Head.

Job Requirements

The job requires that the incumbent be deemed an outstanding leader and coach him/herself, exhibiting personal traits and characteristics that we look for in Eastern Bank’s core values.  

  • Must be a proven facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Must be articulate, assertive, emotionally intelligent and able to work independently will little direction/guidance.   
  • Flexible work schedule and the ability to travel on a daily basis is a must.
  • Minimum of 7 years of retail banking or similar experience
  • Proven leader with demonstrated coaching abilities
  • Experienced facilitator with previous training/teaching responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
