Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 
Under the direction of the Select Department managers and team leaders, this role will be specifically working with our Franchise Division, interacting with Franchise Division account managers in the Select Department; sales executives working within the Franchise verticals; the Claims Department; Billing Department; Marketing Department; as well as providing support for specific Franchise Division business needs. The individual will also be responsible for other projects as assigned by management.
 
                •       Answer incoming calls to the commercial lines department and transferring them appropriately
•       Issue Certificates of Insurance for EIG clients
•       Mail out Policies and Endorsements to our clients
•       Process notice of cancels and reinstatements in a timely manner (Hanover, CNA, Guard transactions pulled from websites)
•       Distribute daily mail (all checks are handled and distributed by the manager)
•       Sales & Service Assistants are expected to handle the switch board on occasion as needed
•       Process claims first reports
•       Order office supplies that go through management for approval
•       Process eDocs (electronic delivery of policies)
•       Assist Account Managers/Sales Executives as requested on a daily basis
 


Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Property and Casualty Insurance Brokers license
  • A Massachusetts Property and Casualty License is required and must be obtained within 6 months of starting the position if the license is not already held prior to hire.


COMPUTER SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work with Windows based software packages, including MS Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of an Agency Management Systems is preferred. 
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within restricted timeframes 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


MATH / LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to clients, employees, and insurance companies. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
