Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Under the direction of the Select Department managers and team leaders, this role will interact with account managers in the Select Department; sales executives across the organization in Commercial Lines; the Claims Department; Billing Department;  Marketing Department; as well as providing support for specific business verticals. The individual will also be responsible for other projects as assigned by management. 
•       Answer incoming calls to the commercial lines department and transferring them appropriately
•       Issue Certificates of Insurance for EIG clients
•       Mail out Policies and Endorsements to our clients
•       Process notice of cancels and reinstatements in a timely manner (Hanover, CNA, Guard transactions pulled from websites)
•       Distribute daily mail (all checks are handled and distributed by the manager)
•       Sales & Service Assistants are expected to handle the switch board on occasion as needed
•       Process claims first reports
•       Order office supplies that go through management for approval
•       Process eDocs (electronic delivery of policies)
•       Assist Account Managers/Sales Executives as requested on a daily basis

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Property and Casualty Insurance Brokers license
  • A Massachusetts Property and Casualty License is required and must be obtained within 6 months of starting the position if the license is not already held prior to hire.


  • Ability to work with Windows based software packages, including MS Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of an Agency Management Systems is preferred. 
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within restricted timeframes 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to clients, employees, and insurance companies. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
