Primary responsibility is to provide analytical and informational support for multiple facets of retail banking.  A Retail Information Analyst conducts in-depth, independent analysis, interprets data and makes sound recommendations based on that analysis. 

Analysis and subsequent recommendations are relied upon heavily by senior management in decision making processes that involve critical components of the division’s infrastructure, such as the design of products and related profitability, divisional incentive plan design, incentive compensation, and various operational reporting processes.  

The Analyst may also be responsible for the preparation and delivery of related recommendations to Senior Management, sometimes in a formal setting.  Is also responsible for executing on the day-to-day divisional reporting needs across all areas to include sales, operations, and product performance.

Candidates should possess the following skills/abilities:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Access and experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Excel
  • Understanding of Visual Basic, SQL, or other programming languages
  • Proven ability to determine data needs, proactively seek out the data, organize, validate and interpret the data
  • Desire to turn data into meaningful insights and recommendations with the goal of fostering customer and employee satisfaction and improving bank performance
  • Flexible in changing prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Encourages and values a collaborative environment 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2 – 4 years of experience as an analyst
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in financial services, preferably Retail Banking
