Job Description

Under minimal supervision, perform higher level functions related to funds transfer activity including managing operational risk and employees. This position requires the incumbent to be well versed in all areas of funds transfer including day to day processes, rules & regulations and the ability to handle more complex tasks while making operational decisions as they arise.

Oversees operations functions for Funds transfers including but not limited to:
  • Manage day to day activities and employees within the department, to include periodic performance reviews
  • Liaise with both internal and external Auditors for all annual and periodic audits
  • Manage the claims process for Reg E and Dodd Frank regulated consumer remittances
  • Pull ABA, SWIFT, and OFAC file updates to be loaded during end of day processing
  • Set up and maintain corporate customers in the Finastra PayPlus wire system and Business Online Banking platform
  • Issue employee and customer wire PINs as needed
  • Create recurring templates, standing wires and scheduled wires as needed
  • Reconcile correspondent accounts and related G/L’s to ensure proper funding of daily processing
  • Review daily end of day reports to ensure proper processing and reconciliation between multiple systems including the Federal Reserve, Finastra PayPlus system, FIS deposit system and G/L system
Research and resolve complex issues that require escalation
Performs operations functions for Funds Transfer including but not limited to:
  • Verify Domestic and Foreign (USD & FX Denominated) wires via wire system, Federal Reserve, SWIFT Network, JP Morgan Access Online,PNC Pinacle Online and Verafin activity
  • Monitor the wire system and ensure all the required interfaces are operating as expected
  • Produce consumers disclosures according to Reg E and Dodd Frank Regulations
  • Verify same day Federal Tax Payments for corporate customer as needed
  • Conduct start of day processes including late day wires, standing and sweep wires
Conduct end of day processes including daily reconciliation, transmittal of accounting entries to deposit and G/L systems, load archive file, and update ABA, SWIFT and OFAC files as needed
Other Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and act as a resource to Funds Transfer Operations Rep
  • Train and mentor new and current employees on an ongoing basis
  • Perform Quality Control
  • Assist with Business Continuity testing
  • Create and update department procedures as needed
  • Perform quarterly self audits and assist with annual internal and external audits
Work with Technology support and external vendors to research and resolve system issues                                                                                                                                                                       

 
 

Job Requirements

Position requires the ability to make independent decisions; the ability to identify potential solutions for more complex and uncommon issues for recommendation or approval from management.
 
 
Education and Experience (Indicate the minimum formal education and experience the job requires.  Note:  The majority of jobs do not require a college degree as a minimum requirement.)
High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of banking operations experience in the financial industry. Knowledge of government regulations and Funds transfers required.
 
 
Skills/Knowledge (Include licenses, registrations or special skills, such as typing, programming languages, etc., required to perform the job.)
The incumbent should possess strong management, communication and organization skills as well as strong customer service skills and knowledge of general accounting principles. Attention to detail is required as well as the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment. Be comfortable with computers and interfaces and experience in MS Office suite products. They must be able to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
