Job Description

Eastern Bank seeks an experienced Marketing Associate to be a key driver and day-to-day project manager for Eastern Insurance Group (EIG) digital marketing (social, web, content and email), and sales support. The individual contributor role will be a champion of EIG marketing needs across Personal, Commercial and Benefits lines, serving as a project manager for agile resource coordination across the organization. 


The role will report to Eastern Bank SVP Brand Strategy & Customer Insights with dotted line reporting to Eastern Insurance Group Vice President of Marketing & Training; co-located between Boston and Natick. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative, have a service-oriented mindset, strong project management skills with the ability to marshal resources for projects. These skills will be backed by demonstrated digital marketing experience and working knowledge of contemporary marketing technology platforms. 


This position requires highly collaborative leadership, project management discipline, teamwork, initiative and commitment. The candidate will work independently, should be flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing situations. The candidate should also demonstrate an ability to think creatively and proactively in order to identify and propose new solutions and ideas. This position requires excellent judgment and interpersonal skills as it requires working with and advising all levels of Eastern’s workforce, from retail staff to department and business line heads, to executive leadership, and maintaining relationships with outside vendors/partners.


Responsibilities include:


• Strong proven hand on experience in digital marketing communications including management of social media campaigns, website content, content calendars and email campaigns.  

• Excellent, demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects using relevant project management tools, agile resource coordination and strong attention to detail.

• Experience in day-to-day management of agency partners and vendors. 

• Proactive “get it done – well” mindset; demonstrates ownership, initiative and accountability for timely delivery. Seeks out new and better ways to get things done.

• Self-motivated and enjoys taking an idea and running with it with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to provide a clear point of view; supports recommendations with relevant data. 

• A good creative eye; effective evaluation and execution of marketing messages and visual design. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, highly collaborative with service-minded orientation.

• Flexible, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.


Job Requirements

Education and Experience


• Bachelor’s degree required plus 3-5 years of hands-on digital marketing and project management experience. Digital agency experience considered. Insurance industry experienced preferred. 


Skills 


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)

• Experience with Agile Marketing and project management tools (experience as scrum master a plus).

• Familiarity with social media platform management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)

• Experience using HTML and CMS management; Drupal a plus but not required. 

• Familiarity with Google Analytics 

• Familiarity with CRM systems and email marketing programs (e.g., Constant Contact, Exact Target)


Working Conditions 


• Time will be split between two locations: Boston and Natick.
