The Director of Risk Analytics manages the Risk Analytics Team in Corporate Credit Division. Risk Analytics team is responsible for credit risk modeling, including ALLL and CECL, loan portfolio reporting, management of Credit Data Mart, the preparation of comprehensive credit risk analysis and recommendations to Corporate Credit managers, Credit policy committee, Risk Management Committee and others. The individual is responsible for driving the analytical efforts to support effective credit risk management, partnering with peers in finance and business units to execute those requirements. 

• Management of an analytical team of 4-5 individuals, including hiring and talent development efforts;

• Provide direction to the team members for the development of Enhanced Portfolio analytics. Provide analytical expertise to Senior Corporate Credit managers to support credit risk and policy development. Collaborate throughout the organization to incorporate advanced risk management analytics into Eastern Bank culture.

• Manage Reserve methodologies, including the analysis, documentation, controls framework and reporting consistent with all regulatory and accounting guidance. 

• Provide material contribution to various credit risk modeling projects like CECL and Stress testing;

• Maintain and improve a strong quality control framework for reserve modeling and reporting functions of the unit;

• Direct and coordinate the development and on-going enhancements of Credit Data Mart and other Credit risk platforms.

Job Requirements


Advanced credit risk analytics skills
Advanced knowledge of various reserve methodologies, including CECL. 
Prior participation or management of CECL project / process. 
Ability to convert business objectives into analytical tasks and present complex data in a visual and written format
Ability to lead analytical team to effectively execute strategies and meet business objectives
Ability to effectively engage in verbal and written communication, including model documentation and management presentation. 
Oversight of data analysts requires an understanding of database management and data integrity principles 

Education and Experience
- 10 years in credit risk analytics, in a progressively responsible position as risk analyst and risk manager
- CECL knowledge and experience required
- 3 years’ experience in managing risk analytics team.
