The Corporate Security Analysis Manager position will lead the analysis function in Corporate Security. The Corporate Security Analysis Manager will be the direct supervisor of the Security Analysts and will plan, prioritize and manage security intelligence analysis at Eastern Bank Corporation. The Security Analysis Manager will work directly with senior leadership, department management and internal / external experts to leverage data and data solutions. 

The Security Analysis Manager will then use this analysis to identify, understand and prevent loss and harm to Eastern, as well as its colleagues and customers. The Corporate Security Analysis Manager will prioritize intelligence data, train her / his team in analytical techniques and hold the Corporate Security Analysis team accountable for the highest level of professionalism and business impact. 

The Corporate Security Analysis Manager is responsible for leading efforts in identifying emerging security risks and trends and making recommendations to senior management regarding loss avoidance, new technologies, and ways to enhance processes and efficiencies. The position will require the ability to work independently and under limited supervision of the Director. 

The incumbent must have the ability to function in a highly professional capacity and provide frequent written and verbal communications and have the capacity to make decisions based on sound analysis. The incumbent must be able to work well across business lines with key stakeholders to help develop strategies and respond to changing circumstances. The incumbent must align Corporate Security strategy with greater ERM and Eastern Bank strategy.

Responsibilities for the Corporate Security Analysis Manager role include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Lead the security analysis function at Eastern. Set fraud analysis priorities for Eastern through direction of SVP, Corporate Security.
  • Give clear direction, motivate analysts and hold the team accountable. Train analysts on latest trends and analysis techniques (exception identification, leveraging data tools, report visualization, etc.).
  • Identify risks and manage Corporate Security workflow in partnership with other Corporate Security managers under the direction of the Corporate Security Director.
  • Lead Eastern Bank’s efforts in security incident mitigation (debit fraud, deposit & check fraud, physical security incidents, etc.) through data analysis, project management and colleague collaboration.
  • Identify, productionalize and analyze untapped data sources to support loss mitigation, security priorities and the protection of Eastern’s reputation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis (financial analysis, fraud or risk analysis, etc.), management of internal technology and business intelligence relationship management and experience with data warehouses and tools. 
  • Experience with team leadership is preferred.
