Senior Consumer Loan QC Processor performs a comprehensive review on all consumer loans. The review includes Eastern Bank’s underwriting standards, FDICIA operational controls, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Consumer Loan QC Processor must have extensive knowledge of all consumer lending products, policies, procedures. The Senior Consumer Loan QC Processor must be well versed in all regulatory requirements governing consumer lending including but not limited to TILA, RESPA, ECOA, Flood, and Mass General Laws. All exceptions are noted and tracked. All deficiencies and missing documentation must be cleared. The Senior Consumer Loan QC Processor will be responsible for training new and less experienced Consumer Loan QC Processors. In addition, the Senior Consumer Loan QC Processor will assist in developing and updating procedures to ensure they accurately control the process.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Review closed loan files in accordance with established procedures. Check loans ensuring appropriate underwriting and processing requirements were met. Check loans for appropriate application and closing documentation. Check loans ensuring that all regulatory requirements were met.  
  • Track and report loan level quality performance.
  • Follow-up on all documentation requiring corrections as well as all missing documentation ensuring that it is made part of the file within a timely manner.
  • Trains new and current staff on all aspects of the quality control process and requirements ensure all staff are well versed with all policies and procedures
  • Work with the Processing Manager, Underwriting Manager and the Production Coordinator to ensure that all new product and enhancements procedures receive the appropriate QC through the origination and closing process.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma;
  • Minimum 5 year banking experience
  • 2-3 years consumer banking experience

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Analytical Skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Knowledge of consumer lending products and loan documentation required
  • Knowledge consumer lending regulatory requirements is required
