As a member of the Compensation team within Human Resources, responsibilities include:  

  • Provide support for the annual and on-going salary review process by obtaining and preparing compensation data for analysis by the Compensation Manger and/or HR Generalists.
  • Complete and submit data to a variety of compensation surveys.  
  • Obtain and compile annual salary budget and structure market data utilizing compensation platforms.
  • Support ongoing recruitment process by performing market data compensation review for Talent Acquisition team.
  • Manage the storage and access for all job descriptions.   
  • Maintain master job code file and set up codes in system as directed.
  • Maintain master file of organizational codes and structure.
  • Work with manager to configure any needed changes to the compensation module.
  • Complete Eastern’s participation in various compensation surveys.
  • Provide ad-hoc and regular employee data reports as requested.
  • Complete and/or run compliance related reports and complete filings as directed.
  • Run reports and gather financial data needed for the annual Incentive Plan Risk Review and Sales Effectiveness studies.  Prepare materials using such data.
  • Run reports and update cyclical compensation dashboard reports in cooperation with HCMS team.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Employee Hub compensation module and CompAnalyst market data aggregator.
  • Provide support in preparing materials for the Compensation Committee and Board of Directors by preparing charts, graphs, and other related materials.

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in human resources or related field demonstrating continued knowledge and career development.
  • Compensation experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including strong proficiency using Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Demonstrated proficiency accessing data in robust HRIS applications, preferably Oracle or equivalent.  Proficiency using the internet for research related searches.
  • Experience in Compensation, Human Resources or Finance strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify non-routine situations and exceptions and apply effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to think outside the box.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan, prioritize and organize work while managing many priorities in a fast-paced environment.  Strong attention to details skills.  Excellent work ethic and strong sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated integrity, respect and effectiveness in interactions.  Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills, effective team member and builder of productive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is required.
