Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


The Commercial Production Specialist II works in the Loan Production Group (LPG) and is responsible for performing due diligence, closing, funding, processing, and QC of all new loans, renewals, extensions and modifications for the Commercial lending teams including Private Banking, Business Banking and Managed Assets. This individual must be able to provide high quality production while meeting deadlines. This individual must possess a strong working knowledge of commercial/business banking loan documentation and lending process. This individual must have strong communication skills and must work well with both internal and external customers. In addition, this individual will serve as a team leader within the LPG providing support and guidance to other members of the team; plan, organize, supervise and monitor the day to day activities during the absence of the LPG Manager.



Major responsibilities consist of the following:
  • Provide support and guidance to other members of the LPG Team.
  • Performs entity, collateral and compliance due diligence for all new loans, renewals, modifications and extensions.  
  • Ensures that documentation is in compliance with the most recent updated policy and procedure.  
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Prepares and/or review internal and external loan documentation for new loans, renewal, extensions and modifications.  
  • Ensure that collateral is appropriately secured and perfected.
  • Maintains proficiency in regulatory compliance and industry developments for assigned areas. 
  •  Trains team members on any new regulatory procedures that need to be implemented within the department. Recommends procedural changes to support prescribed requirements.  
  • Maintains proficiency in Legal processes.  
  • Ensures full compliance with the Bank’s Information Security Policies and Procedures.  Ensures full compliance with certain government (IRS), State, and Federal reporting schedules, deadlines and regulations.
  • Works with third party providers collecting required documentation and processing associated fees.  Order services such as OFAC, Flood Certs, Tax Service, UCCs, Miniter, etc. if required and have an understanding of what the documents do for the bank. 
  • Work with system team to coordinate testing, system upgrades/release testing, etc.
  • Performs Quality Control review to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to policies and procedures. 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or related knowledge/skills base gained through experience required
  • 5 – 7 years of loan documentation experience required
  • Experience independently managing an efficient workflow
  • Paralegal Certificate/Degree preferred but not required


Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking compliance issues and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of commercial collateral protection requirements
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking operations and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation and legal requirements
  • Strong knowledge of general banking operations and activities
  • Superior communication, organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong knowledge of Metevante, ECM, LaserPro, MS Office preferred
  • High sensitivity to deadlines
  • Coaching/Mentoring skills
