Job Description

The Marketing Analyst II will primarily be responsible for supporting new business marketing representatives with middle market opportunities.  Duties include preparation of acord applications and other submission related documents.  Responsible for direct carrier placements at the direction of marketing manager.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for initial account set up which includes AMS account, data entry and policy set up.  Organize prospect information and advises Marketing Director/Analyst of the need for supplemental applications and documentation in the marketing process.  Prepare acord applications based on data collected and provided by sales producer.  Create and prepare excel spreadsheets for client exposure workbooks utilized as part of new business submission.
  • Marketing and placement of accounts at the direction of marketing manager and/or senior marketing representative.   This is accomplished by reviewing accord applications, consulting with sales producers and marketing representatives, and working directly with carriers on new business opportunities.
  • Prepares billing instructions for Agency Bill items, finance agreements and other billing related tasks as necessary.
  • Assists marketing in preparing proposals based on bound coverage as needed.   Provide instructions to carriers at the direction of marketing representatives.
  • Maintains activity log on the agency management system to reflect conversations and transactions completed on behalf of the client, producer and carrier.
  • Performs other administrative related duties as requested.


Job Requirements

Education and Experience 

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of marketing or client service experience and/or related experience in an agency or insurance company environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MA Property and Casualty Brokers License preferred/required within 90 days of employment.  Ten Components to Commercial Competence certificate and CIC Designation preferred but no required.  Experience using AMS or EPIC and rating systems is preferred.  Experience with MS Excel also preferred
