Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Careers in Banking program is designed to promote banking as a career opportunity for students in area high schools and community colleges. This program provides work opportunities which encourage students to complete their high school education and consider moving on to higher education prior to entering the work force. We provide valuable skills to prepare students to work in a professional office setting. This program enables Eastern Bank to train part-time employees for selected positions across the Bank.

Students in this position will be asked to perform the following duties:
  • Performs general Office Duties such as electronic filing, scanning and copying, 
  • Acts as a receptionist for the Human Resources Department in the absence of the HR Coordinator. 
  • Answers and directs calls for Sr. HR Staff. 
  • Project work as assigned.
  • Once acclimated with the professional office environment, the student will be assigned to various departments across the Bank and will perform department specific tasks.  Department assignments may include Finance, Operations, Marketing and Lending.

Job Requirements

  • High School Senior or College Freshman with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Willingness and ability to follow instruction and learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Technically literate
