The HR and Recruiting Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the day-to-day recruiting activities, and administration of the Employee Services discount program. The Coordinator is an integral part of the team responsible for building and/or maintaining the general administrative infrastructure for all HR activities. Management of day-to-day recruiting activities, such as posting and sourcing, administering onboarding and offboarding activities and processing invoices is critical.  Manage and enhance the Employee Services discount program offered to Eastern employees.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the day to day operations of the HR department by assisting with the administrative tasks focused on recruitment, onboarding, and Employee Services. This includes but is not limited to: aiding with various aspects of the end to end recruiting process, posting requisitions on internal/external sites, scheduling, and confirming interviews between candidates and hiring managers, coordinating job fair activities, and ensuring onboarding for all new hires is processed timely and accurately.
  • Source Talent for open roles as needed and assist with full lifecycle recruitment for assigned roles.  Manage all job posting with select vendors and job fairs.  Research new opportunities for Eastern to expand it recruiting efforts.  Collaborate with recruiters to provide general support for internal staff including contributing to on-boarding, answering basic job status questions. Contribute to projects and process improvements for Talent Acquisition team as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Human Resources Department such as ordering office supplies and expense tracking, placing work orders, distributing the mail, sending overnight packages, coordinating quarterly meetings for the CEO, booking conference rooms, and greeting visitors. Draft employment verification letters when needed and post employee notifications on the intranet.
  • Approve terminations in our system, aid with unemployment claims, process invoices for payment by coding them and sending them to the proper person for approval. Assists with various tracking responsibilities to ensure all projects are monitored.
  • Administer the Employee Services Program by reviewing the discounted service/product offerings for employee and recommending enhancements. Maintain and fulfill discounted service/product requests offered to employees and coordinate on-site visits from vendors. Audit discounted tickets once a month.
  • Responsible for annual reports and special projects such as ordering legal compliance posters for all Bank locations, issuing yearly awards, and keeping track of the Department’s vacation.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required, Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Ability to analyze problems and use decision making skills to effectively provide solutions
  • Excellent ability to maintain discretion and tact with confidential HR related information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization

Skills/Knowledge

  • Superior verbal communication skills with professional telephone manner and ability to interact with all levels of candidates and employees/management needed
  • Ability to keep a high level of confidentiality is required
  • Ability to Interpret, implement and answer inquiries, while ensuring consistency and thoughtfully navigating grey areas
  • Computer proficiency in Windows, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Strong analytical abilities required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to project self-confidence, authority, and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working with competing and aggressive deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Follow-up, follow-through, and timely resolution skills.
